Free reed organs
Free reed organs are similar to keyed reed organs, but air blows continuously over the reeds (instead of just when a key is pressed). This gives free reed organs a faster attack.
Free reed organs are extremely unique, and are often compared to Hammond tonewheels. They were manufactured during the 1950s and early 1960s.
Models of free reed organs (and their initial year of manufacture) include:
44 (1953)
4600, 4601 (1954)
4800 (1955)
4410, 4602 (1956)
4420 (1959)
4430, 4460, 4462 (1961)
44441046004800Technical drawings for Wurlitzer models 44, 410, 4600, and 4800
Wurlitzer reed organs were manufactured before the Corinth factory was established. For that reason, although most of the drawings in the collection are labeled for the Corinth factory, the reed organ drawings were made in North Tonawanda and their technical drawings reflect that.

44441046004800Fasteners
Fasteners seem simple, but, if one is broken or missing, drawings can quickly help locate a replacement. It is important that fasteners are chosen carefully to get the job done. Some of the fasteners below, such as 18797, have multiple Material Evaluation Reports, which show how tricky it can be to order parts that consistently meet specifications.
The drawings below include fasteners for the Model 44, 4410, 4600 and 4800:
13508 (Soldering lug for the Wurlitzer 4602 and 4800)
18797 (Nut for the Wurlitzer Model 44)
18902 (Special winged neck screw for the Model 44)
18905 (Weld screw for the Model 44)
