Wurlitzer 4100A

The “A” designation may have meant multiple things. One had to do with amplifier orientation. Per the service manual:

All organs without the letter “A” after the model number contained an amplifier and power supply unit designed with a flat steel chassis pan. […] Organs with the letter “A” after the model number were built with an amplifier chassis having one end bent at right angles so that the output tubes and the rectifier tube were positioned vertically.

In the Generator Section, the service manual states:

All organs without the letter “A” after the model number contained phenolic printed circuits on which the electronic components for the generators were located. Organs with the letter “A” after the model number were built with metal chassis on which were mounted the generator components. Whenever the generator circuits are to be serviced the technician should check the serial number of the instrument against the schematic. Minor circuit changes have been made during production of these instruments.
