200 Series
The Wurlitzer 200 series was the final iteration of mechanical electronic pianos. This line of electronic pianos featured the latest revisions that were made to the action parts.
Various models are contained within the 200 series such as teacher consoles, and studio consoles, but all have the same action, keys and reeds and therefore sound almost identical. The only sound difference would come from either the earlier amplifier (200 vs 200A “style” amps) or the speaker configuration which could be oval, round, ceramic magnet or alnico magnet.
The 200 series electronic pianos are loved for their relatively light weight (in the portable models like the 200 and 200A) their chrome details, their durable but light plastic lids, and their iconic Wurlitzer EP sound.
