Reverb

Many Wurlitzer organ models featured reverb. As we find documents relating to Wurlitzer reverb, we’ll include them here.

The Wurlitzer 4100 Service Manual had a section for reverb schematics, but, because the back pages of the manual were scattered on the floor of Morelock’s office, we’re not sure if we’ve found all of the relevant schematics yet. (More information about the completeness of the manual is here.)

Regardless, the schematic that we do have is very interesting. It shows that the reverb circuit in these tube oscillator organs was actually solid state. Moreover, the reverb was such an early solid state design that the transistor symbols in the schematic don’t display polarity arrows on the emitter.
